Body Scan Meditation Script
This trauma-sensitive somatic (body-based) meditation is a wonderful combination of mindfulness meditation and embodied practice. And, it's both simple and relaxing! This 15-page teacher-led script includes: an overview of what a body scan meditation is and how it relates to a mindfulness meditation practice (and enlightenment), an overview of ways to relate to our bodies through meditation, a map of areas of the body to focus on (for both shorter and longer practice sessions), and a step-by-step script to use to guide your students through a body scan meditation. We’ve also included links below to audio and video versions of the meditation that our founder, Liza, recorded for our former company Eff This! Meditation.
