We’re all here because we want to be of help to others! But how can we best set ourselves up for success in doing that? Beyond subject matter training, how can we best show up for our clients? As healers and wellness teachers living amongst the wellness industrial complex, how can we ensure that we are helping people, and not causing harm? Many training and certifications teach us the practices, but may only nod at important subjects like how to hold space for people in crisis, how to teach the practices without our egos getting in the way, and how to work with special populations.
Holy Shift founder Liza Kindred takes us on a gentle exploration of the foundations of wellness teaching: being a spiritual friend first, holding the seat of the student, awareness of power dynamics, staying authentic (like, for real), and more. It’s possible to gain confidence by using a framework for how to best show up for clients–and ourselves.
