In this vibrant prerecorded conversation, Holy Shift senior teacher Shawn Moore shares what he means when he says “Sound Is My Sanctuary.” He shares insights he got from writing his workbook of the same name, emphasizing the importance of cultivating an authentic relationship with sound. He outlines four core components of sound healing—production, intentionality, environment, and reception—while also highlighting the power of silence and introducing a “pathway framework” (PATHWAY) to guide personal exploration.
Shawn provides practical advice for developing a sound practice, starting with a sound inventory to assess one’s relationship with sound. He encourages choosing instruments that resonate personally and emphasizes personal practice before facilitating for others. He inspires listeners to embrace their unique, messy journeys through sound healing. We hope you enjoy this conversation as much as we did!
As always, free for all members! If you’re not a member of our community yet, we’d love to have you! Learn more here.

Find your people!
People want to connect. In a world that pushes us apart, a marketplace that sells personalization and individualization, and a culture that pits us against each other, the antidote is connection, empathy, compassion, and vulnerability. That is how you stand out, build relationships, and build a community around your product or service. In this 60-minute session, we’ll dive into how to build community to build your business.
This recording will be available in the member class library on Wednesday, November 27th. Free for all members!

About Caroline Rice
Caroline Rice first fell in love with strategy during her first job out of college at a branding agency in New York City, and since then, has worked across a multitude of industries, for teams of all sizes, and with new-to-world and established brands -- allowing her to hone her curiosity into a vetted strategic approach that helps brands uncover their purpose and authentically connect with their target audience.
Through her consulting practice Bellhop (previously R&Co.), she has been able to cast an even wider net and convince even more people and teams of the power of thoughtful brand strategy and value of showing up authentically.
She works on research, insights, opportunity analysis, brand positioning, architecture & identity, brand experience, and marketing strategy -- and is equally up for chatting about books, coffee, or toppling the patriarchy.

Intro to Yoga Nidra Workshop with Shawn Moore
Rest to Remember: Introduction to Yoga Nidra Workshop (in two parts)
Online • Thursday Sept 26 & Friday Sept 27, 2024 • 1 pm - 2:30 pm ET
Add to GCal • Add to Ical • See in your timezone
We are so excited to be offering you a live, online three-hour Introduction to Yoga Nidra Workshop, offered over two consecutive days.
It’s time to Rest to Remember!
Part One: Thursday, Sept 26 | 1-2:30 pm ET
Part Two: Friday, Sept 27 | 1-2:30 pm ET
Yoga Nidra translates to “yogic sleep.” But it is so much more than that. This method of deep relaxation is a rich tool of inner connection and transformation. This 2-part workshop is a combination of discussion, information-share, and guided practice where you will learn how to tap into your body's own relaxation and restoration response via the parasympathetic nervous system, all while building a more dynamic connection to self-inquiry.
We will explore yogic philosophy, emerging research, and how yoga nidra works with all of the layers of our being to bring us into union with our true nature. Whether you need some space to rest, or you are curious to learn more about this method of deep relaxation, this workshop is perfect for you!
Attendees should have a yoga mat available, as well as some relaxation props, including (but not limited to) pillows, blankets, eye pillows, or whatever else may feel good.
If you’re not a member of our community yet, we’d love to have you! Learn more here.

We’re all here because we want to be of help to others! But how can we best set ourselves up for success in doing that? Beyond subject matter training, how can we best show up for our clients? As healers and wellness teachers living amongst the wellness industrial complex, how can we ensure that we are helping people, and not causing harm? Many training and certifications teach us the practices, but may only nod at important subjects like how to hold space for people in crisis, how to teach the practices without our egos getting in the way, and how to work with special populations.
Holy Shift founder Liza Kindred takes us on a gentle exploration of the foundations of wellness teaching: being a spiritual friend first, holding the seat of the student, awareness of power dynamics, staying authentic (like, for real), and more. It’s possible to gain confidence by using a framework for how to best show up for clients–and ourselves.

How to Hold Space for Others During Trying Times with Cynthia Santiago-Borbón
"Holding space." We hear the phrase over and over, and probably have some experience doing it, but what exactly is holding space?
